72 innocent were killed and 340 over injured
Suicide bomber struck children-on swings in Gulshan-e Iqbal Lahore
Lahore:
27 March in Lahore A suicide bomber whose name is told Muhammad Yousaf struck children on swings and their relatives in Gulshan-e Iqbal Lahore (Park) after sun set yesterday which are celebrating Easter. Suicide Bomber targeted the families in the attacked 72 innocent people were killed and 340 over injured .
At the time of blast hundreds of families were in the park, stretching over several acres of land in the heart of the city which is frequented by lower middle class members.
Because of the public holiday the rush was huge. The several of victims were Christians who had come there to celebrate Easter.
Soon after the blast at least 72 dead bodies to the morgue. Over 340 injured have been shifted to the hospital.So far 20 bodies could be identified by police. At least 15 children and 22 women were among the dead.
After this tragic incident A high-level meeting has been held headed by COAS Gen Raheel Sharif There has been decided a crackdown against the terrorists and their facilitators in the meeting and the crackdown has started in many cities of Punjab and 70 over terrorist and facilitators have arrested.
Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif, Imran Khan, Siraj Ul Haq and other political leaders have condemned the incident. Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif is addressing the Nation today and he will tell the action plan against the terrorists and their facilitators in his address.
